Mamawal(College Sophomore/Kevin Mamawal/ Jr. Tennis Team Last September,2010, I was admitted at the FERN Hospital, Fairview, due to high grade fever, stomach ache with vomiting, and flu-like symptoms. My attending physician ordered a platelet count to be done right away to rule out Dengue because I was experiencing all the symptoms of it. True enough, from a normal platelet count of 160-200 count, I only had 89 upon admission, and steadily going down. Luckily, my aunt visited me at the hospital. She was bringing BGone lotion with her. This BGone had been used by Pediatricians for their patients to ward off dengue-carrying mosquitoes, and at the same time helps raise platelet count of those who have already contracted the disease. She rubbed the Bgone lotion all over my body, with concentration on my soles and palm back and stomach areas, three times a day. On the first day alone, the lowering of my platelets was arrested. The Bgone lotion made me feel a lot better, made me sleep well, and broke my fever. My aunt also advised me to drink lots of vitamin C, and Goji juice. Two days after, I was discharged! While I was in the hospital, my youngest brother, Kevin, was also experiencing the same symptoms I had.( Kevin was with the Phils. Tennis Team for the Asian games in Beijing which was opening in a week.) Immediately my mom rubbed him with B-Gone lotion religiously, 3 times a day. On the day before my discharge from the hospital, my brother, Kevin joined me in my hospital room, and was admitted also for Dengue. Upon his admission, his platelet count was 105. My mom continued with BGone lotion rub, and in two days, Kevin’s platelet count returned to normal. The following day, Kevin flew with the Tennis team to Beijing and was there in time for opening of the Asian Games.
